IMO, frame sliders are useless. You are still bound to get some scratches with them, and one scratch is too much. Live and learn is all I can say!

use this accident as a learning lesson to practice your controlled braking. This was not a fluke or something outside your control. You did not look far enough ahead and plan to control your bike properly and you will now pay for it. Please atleast learn from the mistake. I am glad only your bike seems to have been damaged. It could've been much much worse.
