Tre module

Among a bunch of other stuff I acquired when I bought my '02 Busa was something called JJ's TRE Module. Anyone heard of this thing? Is its purpose to affect the bike's performance? Does it work?

what is a tre? it is a resitor that is installed for 2 reasons. 1- is to remove the top end restriction.so you can go over 186mph. 2-is to improve low end responce from idle to apx 4500rpm in the first 4 gears. it removes the factory timing retard,and it makes the bike think it is in 5 th gear all the time.
some guys are against them but for me it is a worth wile mod.
