tip-over sensor and intermittent power loss

there is a 'tip-over' sensor that shuts down ignition and fuel if the bike leans over more than 43 degrees, sensor is located on the under rh side of rear tank pivot, to bypass it, unplug it and fit a resistor from 60,000 to 64000 ohm 1/2 watt carbon in place of it.

BEWARE IF YOU DO THIS the motor will continue to run if the bike falls over!

The only time this sensor MAY be a problem is if you are leaning the bike madly on a tight bend or if you started rocking the bike hard from side to side ? These types of movements may trigger an intermittent cut out

We do this on our race bike (GSXR750), it may not be the thing for the street. Having a bike shut off in an accident is a good thing.

That lean angle may be just about the scrape zone for the side cases & other items sticking out.
