Suzuki displacment on motor block ?

This is kind of an odd ball question but,here is goes... A buddy just got ahold of 2 suzuki allegedly 600cc motors. He is going to use them to build some sort of mini sprint car. He cannot find where the displacment is on the motor block. According to the "rules" the officals must be able to look at the motor and clearly understand what size the motor is. He said Yamaha's are stamped as 598cc (or what ever exact size is) on the block. I thought Suzuki was coded as part of the vin#. Any thoughts on this?
