Stator Hub Special Tool

Are there any substitutes? I am attempting to take my hub off and would like something fast instead of ordering a special tool.

You'll need a specific puller, but there are other applications for it besides the Busa. I had one in my toolbox from no telling where. Way back when I had a shop and likely for an off road bike.

I was able to loosen the bolt with a large screw driver (to keep the hub from spinning) and 3/8" drive ratchet.

I used an oil drain plug m20 x 1.5 to back it off.

Now my issue is how to tell I have a 2002-2007 hub.

Is there a visual difference between a hub from a 2001 and a hub from a 2002-2007? I don't see any. Same amount of holes in the back wall. Same amount of dimples around the outside. The seller I purchased it on Ebay said that it was off his personal 2002 Hayabusa. Below are the markings I see around the outside of each hub.

2001 - 037000-4500 12BZ DENZO JAPAN C LLZ49

2002 - 037000-4500 10BX DENZO JAPAN V LLZ49
