Something is missing

Guys is there a nut plate or something that hold this bolt into place? I can't get it to stay in.

Yes, it's in the form of a clip just like on the fairings

Not sure. Could be a spot for a plastic rivet.

Just went and looked at mine. Like said above, should have a clip behind it for it to screw in to.

Thats threaded into the upper fairing brace- no clip. Make sure to use that style of bolt with the deeper shoulder. The right and the left over lap at that point making about a 1/4-5/16th depth before you get to the threads

correct...it's thicker in threads than side bolts..

They are correct. It is different than the other fairing screws and there is only one like it on a busa.

This should help-its the one on the right, also it's aluminum so its important to start it at the correct angle. If you've messed up the threads-start a regular bolt from the backside and screw it up to clean the threads back up
