So far, seems the gen3 bike is great

I leave mine in A mode all the time too now, that baby is crisp! Don’t know if you ever get too old for power. My best friend is 81 and drives a 69 pro street Mustang with a 427 cross bolt main, you older guys will know what a cross bolt main is.

Side oiler?

So far all I've seen is brake fade after 4 days parked, one bike. Not starting after hot engine and after accidental engine kill, reset key should take care of it and my gen2 did it all the time. Other than that, I think we have a great machine man, agree? I love mine and has been the best bike I've ever owned out of 20!! Mileage even getting down is still 40 plus. The mid-range torque is awesome and I love the electronics array. Full color would have been good. I have a whopping 1100 miles on my bike after one year. But cooler weather is on the way, so I'll be getting on it in many ways hehehe. Yeeehawww, let's get down on it men!!! I'm 66 years old and this bike is the only thing that gets my adrenaline going and is a thrill to ride. I think the only thing that could beat this thrill is me flying an airplane in a steep dive and pulling up at the last second! I'm going to stick to factory exhaust as I love to hear the soft ziz and look up and I'm doing 150 instead of super loud exhaust and I can hear my music much better too. Ok enough too much high caffeine coffee for you boy.
Dude, I agree with everything you said. I also get 40+ MPG even when boogeying it. I love the stock exhaust too, but found it too wide for my garage and too quiet for the dangerous Puerto Rican roads.

I bought some Japan-spec Yoshimura slip-ons and they are perceptibly 1.5 to 2 times as loud as the stock cans while keeping the same OEM exhaust tone. So, the bike still sounds stock-ish and doesn't have that traditional exhaust pipe sound of modded 'Busas.

It's only bassy when idling, but when riding it's so nice. I wear earplugs because of the wind, not the exhaust itself. You can still hear the valvetrain and intake induction noise, which is addicting to me on this engine. As a bonus, the quickshifter now pops like a Porsche 911 Turbo. It's such a solid, thumping pop. :D

The Gen 3 'Busa has been the best bike I've ever owned, and also my first Suzuki, so it's special. If I could descibe it in one word, I'd choose DELIGHTFUL. Whether I ride it like a scooter or like an ICMB, it's just a delight on my senses. I'm so grateful to be able to own this fantastic machine. :) Mine already hit 1300 miles since I got it in May. Gotta take it in for the second oil change. :p

Just remember guys, hold onto this bike no matter what. More than likely due to new I hate gas laws going on around the world the next bike will more likely be an EV and the Busa name probably dies with the Gen3.

The Engine is what made and continues to hold the Hayabusa name, not the plastics.

The same just happened to the Subaru STI with the new 2022 models and all the 2015+ people sold thier cars during the high used car market buyouts and they are screwed, STI is no more. STI only means cosmetics now.

I'll never forget driving my brand new 2005 Black/Red Hayabusa home, it was an amazing 100 mile journey home. I just remember this this feels like a Cadillac. Big & heavy, tires felt solid and glued to the street and low-end torque was mind blasting. The Gen3 only feels more refined with better brakes and smoother throttle. If you have a gen1 and your hesitant to add a gen3 to the garage, don't.

Euro 7 in "2025" will kill the Hayabusa

***End Rant***

Friends, I can only say, hold on to your Hayabusa. The environmental mania, which is gaining the upper hand in Europe in particular, is spreading all over the world. The Busa is a dinosaur, it's tradition and I love it for that! is she perfect No! can she do anything No! Is she unique and special? YES! In any case! This bike has so much character, charm and heart...you won't find that on European bikes! It may have its flaws, but compared to other manufacturers, it's nothing! Speed limits, fuel allocations (really planned in Europe), radical eco-teens, it doesn't get any better. If not enjoy another Hayabusa now, then when? The bike isn't selling very well either, so the risk of launching another Gen 3 didn't pay off for Suzuki. It has to be retro, especially for the decadent European who spends 30K to ride a motorcycle that looks like his grandfather rode it to Russia in Hitler's day. I cannot understand my own countrymen. Athletes with clip ons and full fairings are dying out. Let's keep the Hayabusa alive for as long as we can. Nothing better is coming. I miss my Busa every day, I can hardly get along with my new bike, or let's say I hardly enjoy it. Hanging on a bike like that just to look at it in the garage when I'm not in a position to ride is something I don't know. Believe me, it's only when you're out of Gen 3 that you realize how boring other bikes are by comparison. Hayabusa is a big love letter to old school power bikes.

True, this is really a great certificate of love

I know it's a motorcycle, but still...reading that choked me up a little bit.

Guys, I haven't posted here in a while, been riding, travelling, and nothing new, or worthwhile to contribute, but, this thread had me wake up a bit.

I've had mine for over a year now, full yosh system, tune, other things, tank bag and ring for over a year now..couldnt believe no one thought to get the ring from suzuki..lol.

Anyway, I think I run it hard, been to the tracks, both 1/4 mile and road, drive it for what it is.

I never have had any of the issues described here.. no brake fade from sitting, no hard starts, no anything I keep hearing about...either I'm very lucky for the first time in my life, or, I'm missing something..lol

Now, the junk 2020 H2SX SE I had was a different story..

I think this is a great bike, smooth, fast, predictable. Its ot my GSXR 1000, but, aint supposed to be..I've done 300 miles on it non stop, and didn't need a chiropractor..
