Shifter Position

Hey guys. I removed my foot pegs, shifter, brake pedal, etc. to be powder coated. I got everything back on and am having a problem with the bike getting in gear. Also noticed that the position of my foot feels different so I'm off a little in the positioning of the shifter onto the gear. The position of the rod wasn't changed so it has to be the position of the shifter on the gear. Right now it's sitting at almost 12o'clock. Any info is appreciated. Pic attached.

Mine is set at 1 o'clock. No sure where it is set from the factory. Main thing is you have good leverage when you shift. Of course 12 o'clock should do that for you as well. I would say adjust the rod where it is comfortable to you and see if that's it. May just be your not putting enough force because the shifter feels foreign to you.
