I don't know how many of you would be aware of this gentlemen..Eddie James he worked for the AMA for many years then went to work for Ride for Kids. He founded Team Strange.. and hosted as well participated in many Long Distance events.
I knew Eddie and enjoyed his company. I am saddened to report that a driver decided to stop his van with a flat tire in the HOV lane on I-75 just outside of Atlanta, Georgia around 7:14 pm last night and Eddie slammed into the rear of the parked van catapulting him off the bike. Life flighted but did not make it.
Charges are pending against the van driver....................... boy this has been an aweful year in terms of loosing people .... Wardie
