What part of Nevada are you in?
I am from Phoenix, AZ. You probably guessed from my wife's car. Who used to live in Vegas.
Did a 230 mile trip to sugarloaf mountain in Central Florida and tried to ride back home through the state forest on the dr650, but way too many trees still down and some of the smaller trails are still flooded or too muddy. It was still a fun ride and I have never seen such a “big” hill in Florida. Lol! It was a nice day out except for the torture device that I bought from seat concepts. Damn thing is almost as bad as the 2x4 this bike came with from the factory that Suzuki calls a seat.

How do you like the KTM? Been looking at a 1290 GT myself.
Well caught the ferry from Knotts Island today finally! I actually googled the schedule before leaving home, look at the brain on Fallen.... Kind of a boring ride though, going from a Busa and 120+ mph to 5 mph or so. Still a fun day. They wouldn't let me smoke my cigar though, sort of defeats the purpose.
I'm enjoying the bike. I've logged in over 10K miles on it so far.
The GT would be a great choice.
They wouldn't let you smoke on an open air ferry?
Nope. I think my wife must have called them ahead! I asked the guy if he was running a fairy or a ferry. He didn't have a sense of humor about it though. Lol!
They cou7ld ban you from using a ferry anywhere in VA. But I doubt anyone would enforce it.
