Friday the 23rd I got the 2000 model Bandit running after 34 days of work on it / parts waiting . I rode it yesterday the 24th for shake down runs .
Today for Christmas the wife got to ride it . Lots of mods/improvements including GP shift / healtech gear indicator / full exhaust / Jet kit/K&N air filter / Shori battery / list keeps going lol .

Bike looks great, she looks happy to be on it. Please get her a helmet with some facial protection.

She has many helmets ( more than I do ) when its 101 degrees , and 85 % plus humidity when she commutes to work she went 3/4 .
You can tell her , and end up with the look just like I did .

No, no, I wouldn't dream of getting in her business but it only took one face plant for my wife to become a firm believer in full face helmets. Hope y'all get to share many happy miles together.

January 1st, 2017. On the road by 4.30am, home and back in the aircon by 8.30am.
34 C (93 F) at home today.... 40 C (104 F) where I go riding.
Roads were deserted, it wasn't too hot for leathers, didn't see any cops.
Couldnt get much better.

It looks funny that your area looks somewhat similar to our area as far as most of your trees don't have leaves - same as us.
However it is funny that there is NO SNOW to go along with the bare trees.
What's not funny is that it's still warn enough for you to ride on Jan 1. I can pretty much guarantee you that no one rode here then.
Our temps are in the teens during the day and single digits at night with minus ° windchill's through out most of the day.
