I'm retired Military and started collecting SS last year at 62 and found out I'm fully Vested with the City when they took over managing the Veterans Cemetery on 1 October. It's nice they give service credit but i didn't think it be that much. Granted I'm just a 13 hour a week worker so there only 49 bucks in the till at this time. If I tap out at the end of the month I can get a one time check of $200 and 12 bucks a month for life. But if I wait until June it's $900 one time payment and 17 bucks lol.
I'm just amazed how it play out in only 2 months of employment with the city. Now I just need to figure out what to spend all this new found wealth on lol.
