Reckless Driving "side by side" is prohibited in VA

never heard of a single state in the us other than ca that truly allows lane splitting.

Rider instruction manual (the book the instructors are given for a basis to perform the rider's education class) USED TO say that lane splitting or the action of 2 motorcycles sharing a single lane, was legal (in PA) when it in fact was NOT.

Most cops don't say anything at a traffic light...but the act of riding side by side honestly serves no purpose at any other time....staggered formation is much much safer. Always allow ANY driver a safe "buffer" zone and maintain a safe following distance.

yup its the law here in hawaii too... no can ride side by side unless you is the popo then is ok because they have a badge.... and a gun... that is what I was told from the 5-0 after getting pulled over for having a mohack on my helmet... and no pants....don't ask about the whole pants situation...

I Love It! Those guys aren't really friends anyways. The only reason I ride with them is to hurt their feelings whenever they start the "the 14 is the fastest bike ever produced" crap.
