rebuild slave cylinder steps (MR BOGUS)

Hello I wanted to post here since i cant post a picture in PM
But Mr Bogus was helping me, and with his help i got the sprocket cover
off.
now i fail to see the parts that need to be replaced once the cover is off lol
my guess is that it fell out?
i have a little leak, that over time got to this, worse. no pressure.

In my mind, here is how i would replace.
Clean the slave housing. Clean the piston (long shaft by chain)
from the kit i would
1. put in the spring like ice cream cone
2. put in the disk with center hole
3. put the ring cap over it all

is this correct ?

again, be really careful cleaning around that rod that goes into the case.. that seal only replaces from the "inside"

also as wet as all that is...

poke that hose off the water pump and see if it went "soggy" if it is soft were it is wet, may as well replace it now while you are there...

the diagram shows some parts i dont have
at the start of the unit. from what you see in the pics above
is how it looked when i took it apart.
the parts with the rebuild kit i put together the best
i could tell. does this look correct?
i just want to ask because i do not want to damage by
incorrect installation, please understand.
my guess is disk end first

the lip needs to point inwards towards the housing..

pressure pushes out against the thing and forces the seal to tighten as pressures go up..

the picture has the seal backwards from what I can see..

I have the thing rebuilt, no leaks
but still no pressure builds up within the system
the piston does not move (build pressure) when i
press in the clutch lever no matter how many times...
incredible..

I would think if there was even alot of air in the system
it would still build pressure. but i fail to do so :-(
such a mystery to me this problem is

NOW I should add, i did not use the disc with the center hole
as i did not have one in there, nor do i know a place to use it.
I just replaced the spring and seal around the piston

pull the line from the master.. (at the master)

hold your finger over the hole and pump.. any pressure? (please be careful with fluids, they will eat plastic/paint anything else they touch)
 
the disc with the hole in the center is the oil seal that your clutch pushrod goes through. i thad to replace this and you need to take apart the lower case halves to replace it. you don't need this part if you are only rebuilding your slave cylinder. clean the area up, and verify that the leak does come from the slave though. i jumpered the clutch safety switch to start the bike without the clutch pulled in, and mine was leaking form the pushrod seal. fun time for all!

Great! I was wondering what that disc was lol, good thing i do not have a
leak there. i did have a leak prior to changing the seal on the piston.
so here is the break down.

1. I pull the line off the master cylinder. I put my thumb over the hole
squeeze in the lever and it builds pressure.

2. I pull the line off the slave, and the fluid pours from it, draining the master.
I squeeze the lever and the flow stops. I let go and it continues to pour.

3. I take off the sprocket cover. I use a little pressure from an air hose.
the piston pops out. So it builds pressure.

so now it seems to not build the pressure with the fluid with everything installed. the fluid never drops level from the master as i try pumping the lever.
just continues to have no pressure in the line.
I even poured fluid into the slave before attaching the pressure fitting
to give it a head start. still nothing.

Really what could this be ???
 
get a "might-vac" or comparable at "Harbor Freight"..

I am going to bet you have an airlock in the system yet...

If the master is working, just not sure what else could cause your system not to work..
 
i have to go with your airlock theory as I just Wiki it and has to be my
problem. the mightyvac is hopefully i can get at Walmart or Autoparts store
because i need it fixed tonight. Thanks for that tip Mr Bogus
