switching to a 16/42 and everything is going great until I go to retorque the rear sproket nuts. Unless I'm reading it wrong they are at 43.5 ft lbs, so now 3 strip out. Wont tighten up and wont back off. I assume the touque specs I have are wrong, got em from the posted service manual, any thoughts or dofferent numbers would help. Any idea what theses bolts and nuts run?

is where all I get all my replacements...also it is 43.5 ft-lbs..  shoot me a pm and I'll forward you an exel file I use for quick refrence and bike history, expenses and maint log.

Ohhh I also step them in and torque them in a star pattern
Step them meaning torque them all to 30 lbs the 1st time around
then go back and torque the to actually 44 lbs the second time..

thats what I tried. All torqued ok on the first round to 30 but 2 wouldn't torque to the 43.5 and wouldn't come off either. Why me?
