OK guys there seems to be alot of confusion about Michelin Power Race tires so I will try to clear some things up. Michelin has 2 versions of this tires. The Power Race and the Power Race PR series. The Power Race is a Street/Race tire. The Power Race PR tire is a street/race series tire that come in PR3,PR4 and PR5 models. You can only buy the PR series from a authorized Dealer. The PR series may look the same but they use a different carcass and different rubber compound for maximum traction. You cannot get a PR series tire in a 190 size(only 180).  Here are some pics.

This is a pic of the Power Race

As you can see it comes in different compounds

Now here is a pic of a Power Race PR3. Notice there is no reference to a tire compound

The Bottom line

Max grip with little mileage life-PR3

Good grip with good mileage life-Power Race

Good grip with max mileagle life-Michelin Pilot street

Nice to see somebody using ALL of the tire.

Thanks for the write-up.
