Oil Sight Gauge

On a 1st gen oil sight gauge there is a flat section along the upper housing. Should this be horizontal? Not just close but exactly parallel to the ground. Just discovered on the mid engine install is that to level this sight gauge flat section the rear must be raised 6 inches. With car level and at the full mark the level drops to just below low with the car raised and the gauge level. the attached pic is the show the flat section only. The pic from handheld and is not likely level.

Just wondering if the engine is mounted 5-10 degrees high in the front

Pls view your gauges and comment

Spent the afternoon at Suzuki Motors Corp in Brea, Ca explaining the build and allowing them to examine the setup. The engineers were impressed and offered valuable comments. My engine is positioned ~7 degrees high in front. Removing the preferred option to reclock the motor: Should lift car rear to level sight gauge flat section and fill oil to full mark. And trim oil breather tube to end above oil level. The oil capacity including plumbing thru ext pump to cooler in front bumper is 5.5 quarts. Typical engine temp is less than oem setup. must say they were very welcoming and professional.
