oil drain plug queston

If you over tightened the drain plug nut, you may have stipped some of the threads on the oil pan. A gasket or crush washer wont help you in that case.

Like one said earlier, don't over tighten the oil drain bolt. If you do you might crack it. Buddy of mine did this on his 954 and it was the biggest pain in the a@$. When he had to replace the shift forks in it one time he had to split the bike into 2 separate pieces. It was not fun taking it apart and was even worse putting it back together.
