Nz Earthquake

Mike Chambers posted up an update in another thread, said the casualties, thus far, are few...that's the best news you can hope for I suppose.

Beautiful country, though I've never been, sadly...

Stay safe everyone!

Just reading about this huge quake on the news. Hoping Mike Chambers and Cantab and all of theirs are safe right now!

Hi , thx for your concern brother. i live in Auckland so only felt the quake but do think of those affected . the highway SH1 they say could take up to 6 months to fix, it's coming into summer holidays here so that's not good. for those who plan/ like to bring their bikes here for a holiday. Mainfreight transport ship bikes here and back. take care brothers &sisters

Of course, politicians doing political things.....I've said for years, the problem with politics are politicians LOL
The only person to enter government with an honest intention was Guy Fawkes. his intention was to blow the place up , which for some reason we celebrate guy Fawkes night on November 5

Glad to hear your ok man! Weren't we just talking about this in another thread last week?

Hey all , Busa stayed upright ok :) I was up at Kaikoura last week with family over from USA checking out
the whales (http://www.whalewatch.co.nz/) we used SH1 to get there from Christchurch , we timed that right

The earthquake was not so bad for us but it was a bit of a worry as we know full well what a 7.5 mag feels like
We are still re building our city and homes from 2010...

Nice to know other people are looking out for us

This nice coastal road is now blocked in so many places

Been down to survey the damage to SH1,love the optimization from the government over how long to get road open , they feel it can be done in months . Yeah right, experts view years rather than months , we (public )only have seen some of the damage
