Nov 3-4 NOLA Trackday!!

hey guys, here's a flyer for that weekend....there's also a car, truck and bike show, it looks like i'll be in the show :cheerleader: i'll make my way over to the pit area to meet you guys, i'll have something for yall "SMACK TALKERS"..... :laugh:

I hope they keep the paddock for the trackday separate from all this...too many sticky fingers....

Hey Keith

I gotta check with Charles see what is up with hotel. I think cheaper the better..hampton is $119 night.
I sent pm to Brock with 3T see if they open gates Friday night and if power is available.
will be there Friday.
I have 90ft of coated cable and several heavy duty locks if needed.
Do you have a bigger genny?
All I have is the small one..it struggles with two sets of warmers.
 
I don't have a generator so I plan to run Q2's so I won't need warmers.

STT had an awesome off-advertised rate with that Hampton down the street from Barber; since that appears to be the closest hotel I'm just wondering the same. I emailed both TT and the track and asked them if they had any discounts arranged with local hotels. There are parts of that town that are not safe at night,

Just got off phone with Hampton( no specials )$119 night.
Gonna try for bigger genny I need warmers. :-)
 
I just got an email from Brock: He says they are camping overnight; gates open at 5, and they will be cooking Saturday night. No response yet on power.
 
Today received email from the track.

Yes, she says they have power. $10/day per outlet; one set of warmers per outlet. Paddock open Friday night; 24 hr security.

I'm personally not a fan of Metarie, i may try out the Best Western right down the street.

I'm currently sitting in our office about 3 miles from the track as the crow flies on the other side of the river (harahan). There was a boatload of FOG this morning that is now clearing that we could NOT have ridden in.

WARNING: They are working on, and closing off and on, the Heuy Long Bridge. It's closed to OUTBOUND traffic from 1PM to 5PM today (Friday) so I won't be trying to get to the track until after 5. There are two other routes in so you might want to take a look.

That R word is in the forecast for Sunday (40% chance).....

Nola or Bust!!

Well we made it!! Charlesbusa and I met up with skydivr. Bikes at track. Now to get rested!
