I had the last one for 14 years. It worked pretty well apart from destroying stuff around the house and chewing up my builder quite badly one time.

Sadly he’s no longer with us so it’s time for a replacement.

Rufus, AKA Roofy, Roof, or Rufus T Firefly.

10 weeks old, Australian Blue Heeler / Australian Cattle Dog, as in Mad Max 2.

My last one only got to 30kg but they aren’t a huge dog. Better known for being tough, sneaky, hard working all weather dogs, breed for working cattle in rural Australia. Built to run, be in heat and cold, kicked by cattle. proper tough breed.

Mine passed away 2 years back, I still miss him every day.

Shortly after I lost him I was renovating a house, then selling, then moved into a rental house, then built my next house. It’s only now that it’s a good time to get another. He was a gift from my wife. Long drive to fetch him but I got to meet his parents and pick from the litter. He was the one that paid me the most attention and the most outgoing of the bunch.
