Took my Busa to the local dragstrip here in Orlando. It was hot, very hot.The track announcer said it was 102* at 11:00.I did about 15 passes with the stock clutch and the Busa never missed a beat. The track's grip was good even though it was hot. Most passes were in the high 9s with a couple in the low 10s because the bike hooked and wheeled.I weighed myself with leathers and I'm 239lbs with the cow skins. The Busa is not 100% because of the mapping in the PC2.
So far I have the Akrapovic,16 tooth front sprocket,My Airbox mod,the Busa was lowered and strapped and a PC2.My time was
60' 1.627
330 4.268
1/8 6.440
mph 113.56
1000 8.320
1/4 9.916
mph 141.04

Once I get my clutch mod from Brock I'm looking to go into the 9.70 zone

2 tenths will be a big accomplishment!

You may have a good chance you try some of these:

1. loose the straps and slam it with the JCS triple clamp.

2. Run some VP Racing fuel(MR3)or(C-12)richen your pw2 for this fuel.(by the buttons. No need to remap)

3. With your weight(239pds) 16/42 will bring you through the traps right where you wanta be...

4. Dig into your pocket and do whatever can to get a hold of the new Micky/T(MCR2)!!
These are selling for anywhere from $200 to $250.(they're worth it!)

5. I could go on but it depends on how serious you want to be about DragRacing?? :)

Frank, are you serious about the 16/42 gearing? Thats like 5 teeth! Do you run this set up? I'm thinking more like 17/42...

GSXRboy(Lair); Your one of the most full of shitt talkers on this web site.

147.72mph?

If your running that kind of mph in the 1/4 your bike is not stock compression. NOWAY!

Keith Dennis is one of the best racers out there and he weighs a lot less than you and he don't even run that kind of mph on his hayabusa.

230 pound rider going almost 148mph.
get real!

You wont be racing us on the internet so don't talk shitt unless you can back it up!!!!

where is the proof?

BadBoy - Or should I say ASSHOL*!

Tell you what come on over to Lapeer or Milan Dragway and I'll run the bike as many times as you want! The bike is brand new and the motor hasn't been touched! If you'd like you can put up $1000.00 and I'll take the fuc*** motor apart for you! Crawl back under your rock ASSHO**!

Ohh by the way bobohead here is a picture of two of my time slips from Monday:

BadBoy - By the way when you try to insult someone please at least try and spell it properly! Liar is not spelled Lair!

Take that bullshit to labusas, dude. We don't need it on 2 sites, not that I'm saying I don't like it, it's fun as hell on labusas...BUT. 1 at a time?

Thanks,

Kurt

'lantabusa - Look at the FUC*** timeslips!!! Then tell me how much bullsh** that is! What a bunch of idiots I was trying to be nice and help everyone out by telling them what I have done and all I get is this BS! Just learn to ride your damn bike and stop bitc****!!! Or come to Michigan and we can run whenever you want! If I can't produce those exact times I'll pay for your whole FUC**** trip!!!!

Sorry I had to get that one out! Sometimes this Sh*t cracks me up. We fight like we get money from Suzuki or somebody!

Cant we all just get along?

Keep It On One Wheel!!!

This 16/42 setup is real good for the riders above 200pds. Or should I say Racers?

Remember he said he weighed 239pds in leathers.

The 16/42 on a stock motor Busa will take you through the traps close to 10,500rpm in 5th gear.

Since the stock Cams quit pulling at 9,750rpm there is no need to run the rpm's above the 10,200 to 10,500 range in the last two gears.

It's ok to run to red line in the first couple of gears.

Looking at a dyno sheet and seeing where your cams stop making power at is also giving you an idea where to make your shift points. Try to keep it in the power range of your cams.

I made a gear change from 16/40 to 16/42 on a stock motor Busa and saw a 10th 1/2 gain. Added the VP(MR3) fuel and dialed the pw2 and saw another 10th 1/2.(3tenths total)

To back Frank up I'm 231 pounds on a basically stock Busa (Pipe, Gears, PCII, Air filter)and I'm running a 16/42 combo. Here are my times from Memorial Day out at Lapeer Dragway:

1.526 60'
6.248 1/8 ET
122.28 1/8 MPH
9.540 1/4 ET
147.72 1/4 MPH

1.517 60'
6.281 1/8 ET
118.93 1/8 MPH
9.579 1/4 ET
146.59 1/4 MPH

1.497 60'
6.284 1/8 ET
118.47 1/8 MPH
9.583 1/4 ET
146.27 1/4 MPH

BadBoy - Your just a real FUC***G LOOSER aren't you! Why don't you learn how to ride your damn bike! Look at the St. Louis IDBA results this weekend and you'll see what my Busa is running! Here are my timeslips from Monday AS**HOLE!!!! Please go crawl back under your slow *** rock!!

GSXRboy; your not telling the whole story.

If you subtract your weight from your ET's that would make you the with your bikes mods the fastest in the world.

BULL SHITT!

Your bike might be running those times but NOT with you on it!

230 pounds? NOWAY!

1.526 60'
6.248 1/8 ET
122.28 1/8 MPH
9.540 1/4 ET
147.72 1/4 MPH

It takes 170hp to run that kind of mph with a 150 pound rider.

Your over 230 pounds.

Tell the whole story SHITT TALKER!
