Mile Zero Ride in the Planning

It's 3 weeks from today, Oct. 5th, 6th & 7th. We have reserved 3 rooms (I think) at Spanish Gardens Motel in Old Town Key West. If anyone wants to join us, it's the off season in Key West and the place probably has rooms yet. lease:

Robert, that's one heck of a slab ride... I-95 to Turnpike, etc... At least the Sunpass toll plazas will do toll by plate now so you don't have to stop on the turnpike. I recommend taking "card sound" once you get off the turnpike and on US-1 (A1A) down in Florida City. Also, don't speed in Key Largo!!!!

Thanks brother, suppose to pick up a Floridian in Palm Bay, but it has poured down all night and is dumping a ton of water with less than two hours to planned departure. You shouldn't be out in a car in this crap and the bike's not leaving the garage in it either.

Off and on intermittent torrential downpours are the norm for Sofla this time of year.
Enjoy things before 1-2pm then settle in and listen to the thunderboomers!
Let me know if you all need anything or a place to crash overnight there or on way back.

I'm back home and Robert is well on the way. He'll post up pictures when he has a chance.
I had a problem and couldn't ride my Busa, I had to take another bike, a little disappointing.
So I didn't really feel like taking pictures.

Did you take 441 through the middle of the state up to Orlando area or turnpike/I-95 all the say?

I95 and the Turnpike. The goal was to get there. Besides the Overseas Highway was 125 miles of surface roads, that seemed to be enough.
Mostly all we did on the smaller roads was look at the back end of trucks and RV's waiting for a chance to pass.

Stayed at Spanish Gardens and for those who have stayed at the Phillips I found a matching toilet to the little corner sinks they have

The food was great, should have ate more seafood considering where I was, oh well, next time.
