But I'm not Irish. More of a mutt, actually.

Late last year, I dumped the Busa. https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/general-bike-related-topics/98407-dumped-morning.html

The spleen injury I had was pretty minor but the reality is, I could have died, even from such a low-level mishap. Got really lucky there.

Anyhoo, yesterday I was prepping the Busa for a ride. I haven't ridden for at least three or four months and was taking my time, checking and rechecking everything I could. When I was cleaning the rear cowling, I saw a lot of black scuff marks which looked like boot scuffs. I proceeded to clean them all off. Then my slow brain kicked in and I checked my boot.

Time to go buy a lottery ticket!

All the gear, all the time! Thank you for the reminder. That would have been bad if you had gone with street shoes. ???
