LP Swingarm Sliders

Here's a pic of the LP swingarm sliders that double as spools.

There is a groove near the base of the slider....in the pic the bike is ON a rear stand.

I have the Vortex on the front now and bought these for the swing arm. They are a slider and spool made by Suzuki for the GSXR's. Little spendy but I think they could help.

I don't really see what the swingarm spool would protect against. I mean it seems the pipe would hit first no matter what.

I don't really see what the swingarm spool would protect against.  I mean it seems the pipe would hit first no matter what.

I have HMF dual high mounts and from what I have measured these should touch first depending on how the bike slides.
