Looking For Directions To Big Bores

I would like some directions on what it takes to build and maintain a built motor. I would like more after vtech kicks in.

Building the motor is easy. I used the APE cylinder exchange program and it saved some downtime. Use a Gen 1 cylinder. As long as you keep the cams size reasonable I wouldn't expect any additional maintenance effort

Thanks sjg34. Would you know where I can go to find more info on this? I'd like to make 230 horse. I'm thinking 1500cc. Really would like to learn more. I know if you go to big of a bore in vw to have to get the case bored too.

You should be able to get close to your target 230 with a 1441 and head/cam combo. There is a lot of information on this forum just use the search and spend a few hours reading. You could also google hayabusa 1441 build and I'm sure there will be many interesting threads to help you.
Also there isn't a need to bore your cases.

Fire the street the big bores suffer from inefficient cooling. There are lots of mods to help that.
