Led Stater Cover Upgrade

Good morning to all i am contemplating changing out my 06 Gen I stater cover for a Glass See Through Cover with led. My question is will i have to modify the or cut out a part of the fairing to see it fully?

You will not have to cut anything for the lights to be visible.

You should see all of the viewable area (lighted area) without cutting the fairing, but if you want to see more of the housing, then you would have to enlarge the hole in the fairing.
