In any case, im glad it was posted again, missed it the first time. Im in the market for some sort of lock/security system. at least now i know what to stay away from. Thanks for the post!

A lock such as the one demonstrated with isn't very useful on a motorcycle anyway. Few thieves bother with actually trying to roll/ride away a bike -- they just pick it up and stuff it in a truck. Even seen it done with a minivan.

If it were used to fasten the bike to something a grinder or jack would do it in a few seconds.

those looking for a lock should look at ABUS locks. Although exceedingly expensive, you basically need a freakin welder or torch to get thru their best model. I use the lock and always anchor to something deep.
