I would nickname the bike Vlad.

i dont think anyone would have any business being that close to the beast to begin with...
if a kid gets hurt by them i think it might be a case for child neglect or something like that...
any body else have an opinion on this?

kids playing with your kids on your front lawn. One falls down and breaks his leg,who's liable? The homeowner. Kids stumbles into your spike and get a nifty cut,who's liable? The owner.

I have spikes on my ride too. Only the one on each side worries me.
