HELP what part is this

alright guys I just recently had to pull my motor due to second gear needing to be bak cut, wile it was on the bench I replaced the head gasket also. Anyways I got the whole topside back together, put the trans back in and put the case back together. I got to the point of putting the shifter asembly together and noticed the pin in the picture sitting next to the engine on the work bench. Any ideas of where it goes? Ive looked threw the parts fiche and factory manual but still cant seem to find it. The pin length is 1.42 inches long and has a diameter of .15 inches

thats the pin for the clutch, its under the front sprocket cover

Looks like the pin that holds the shift selector spring. I don't have the pdf on the phone, but check out that section of the manual

its the long dirty part in the picture it moves the clutch
