FLY-N-LOW

Just a curious question. I'm trying to sell my 2005 blk and silver busa. Why do I keep getting rediculous offers when nada lists the bike at 9400 and kelly blue book puts it at 8400? The bike is showroom condition, never down and never ridden hard. 4100 miles, all stock(fast enough for this 40 yr old).Kept in a heated garage and maintained per manfactures spec.  Example of low offer 6000. I was offered 8000 for a trade in on a concours 14. Sorry for the rant!!! Just a bit frustrated.

Talking to stealers, I mean dealers

Unfortunately, you're always gonna run into the low-ballers. However, you have several things working against you:

1) It's a 2005
2) The 2008's have been announced and will be in showrooms in Sept/Oct.
3) Because of #2, prices are dropping on 2007's

$8,000 for a trade sounds reasonable. I would expect that you could get around $8,500 if you sold it yourself...

Just my $.02...

Yes I was talking to a dealer to find out what he thinks the bike is worth in this area. I also have the bike in the paper for 8500 or bo.
