OK, I'm going on a ~1500 mile trip starting Sunday, but I still don't know where to go! I was considering Chicago but the ride there would be through kansas and iowa... It would probably suck.
Could go to Utah through the mountains - but then I don't have a good destination! And the unpredictable weather through the mountains too.
Maybe dallas. St. Louis?
I dunno what do you think?
Also, I've got a metzler z6 on the back, 50-60% life left (lasted me about 3000 so far). I'm thinking the wear wouldn't be too bad on a distance trip so it could handle it but please tell me if I'm in for a surprise there.
