Gen1 Busa 6 over with Strut q's

Has anybody setup a busa with a strut? I got my shock out and set the strut and shock side by side.... the shock is much longer than the strut fully extended... It is a Pingel strut from Schnitz. According to Pingel's site, the strut is 11 1/4" in length. The shock is about 13" on center with the bolts....

What throws me off is I was not aware that the strut would lower the bike, no big deal other than i have to dig out my stock links...


The reason i am going with a strut is the bike does not see any road time, just the 1/4 mile... its 6 over and for some reason, it still stands up on me. So to move to wheelie bars, i need to put in the strut...

Well here is the update. I had to go back to the stock links and extend the strut out as far as possible..... it is still a little low, but it will stand on its own again but i may still resort to the kickstand mod...
