Gen 1 valve face grinding

What are the Gen 1 intake and exhaust valves made of? I know you can grind the seats but can you grind the 45 degree valve face?

gen1 :
valves made of usual "valve-steel" .
their valve plates can/may be regrinded
but be careful - if you grind too much, and also reground the valve seat, it can ! happen
that the shims have to be a lot thinner than the ones previously installed.
if you then get into the range of shim sizes of 245 or even smaller, you should shorten the valve stem end(s) by 1-2/10.

gen2 :
NOT & never and , as far as i understood , forbidden by suzuki - valves are made of titanium - only their seats can be grinded.

I have Neway cutters. Where were these a few years ago LOL. They are really nice tools. I made a jig out of a block of Delrin on my mill with a perfect 45 degree cant.

I barely took off anything. There is a tiny bit of light coming through the middle of the face. Lapping should do it. I now made a 30 degree angle jig to do the back cut on the intakes. I am barely touching the face and I change the grinding wheel after every valve.
