Fuel cut vs ignition cut

What's goin on guys...first time posting on the site. So I'm planning on getting a dynojet quick shifter for my bike. I've been looking at getting their new stand alone unit that cuts ignition but the QEM (quickshifter expansion module) is cheaper and it allows you to cut fuel. My question is which do you guys prefer to cut ignition or fuel and what are the pros and cons on either if any even though it's just killing for only a couple of milliseconds?

Same question here (5 years later) and I've used the search tool but am having a bit of difficulty coming up with a clear logical answer.....
My instinct says cut fuel (as you don't want unburnt fuel building up in your header pipes / muffler etc.), hence something like the "ShiftFX" unit out of Richmond BC - price is $499 but I need to clarify if that is in Cdn or US as that will be the deal breaker.
Alternate unit would be the Annitori quick shifter but it comes setup for spark kill - price is very competitive at $219 US so without a definitive answer I will head in this direction.
As always, greatly appreciate your guys opinions !!

@Notenoughtoys I researched them both, but wont be buying one for a looong time. You'd have to call Richmond re the US or CDN funds thing, but take into consideration the possible raping you might take cross border shopping fee's,duty, etc depending on how they ship. The times I have ordered from Richard at RCC turbo in Ont. he deals in U.S. funds,as most of the world seems to now.
Anyway,I liked the plug and play aspect of the ShiftFX with its on board adjustability thru its own LCD as opposed to the Annitori which interfaces via bluetooth and a smart phone. The ShiftFX just looked like a better kit.The "bike specific" aspect with factory like connectors seemed very applealing to me as well, not sure how much cutting/splicing is required re the Annitori . As you mentioned I would lean towards fuel cut as well.
Guys like @Dennis really know there stuff and perhaps don't pigeon hole yerself into 1 of these 2 products as there maybe real world use and recommendations by some of the members like Dennis.
My 2 cents...but have no real world and dont know shi7.:p
Rubb.

Hey guys
Just find this thread, and my question is : what is a good kill time when only the ignition cut Is active ?
Just see my bike run lean when I’m using the qs with only the fuel cut active, normal... no fuel : lean conditions. 70 ms is ok for this mode. But just triyng the shift up with only the ignition cut active and the same time(to avoid lean condition) and it’s impossible the shift up at high revs or under load. No problem at mid revs.
can someone help me ?

I cut the ignition on both of my bikes. My drag bike takes more kill then my street bike. I think the street bike trans is in better condition.... it only takes .50 ms kill time to shift it. The drag bike is .70 ms of kill to shift. Big difference in time. You bike with ignition kill and .70 ms kill time should shift. If it doesn’t check your settings and linkage. Your trans could be garbage too. But .70 ms should be plenty of kill time.
