Cut front side walls of fuel tank

Is it possible to cut a part of these walls?

The wall is about 10-15 mm thick.

Is it just a structural wall or gasoline is inside that wall?

I might want to do this if the newly designed tank vents made on the front tank cover will hit the fuel tank.

No, you don't want to go cutting into that metal unless someone is going to actually do a custom cut, reduce the volume of the tank and seal it correctly.

That’s such a low pressure area I can’t see a vent there making much difference.

TTS is saying intake temps are reasonable. Does his plenum have a port for an air intake temp sensor? It should and he said he’s running three of them.

what are u trying to accomplish? any tank can be cut and resealed. shade tree mechanics do that all the time with classic cars.

I’m pretty sure it’s for these vents. He’s got the TTS s/c kit and getting it installed soon.

Gen 3 tank looks like garbage . 10 to 15 mm is over .5" thick . Tank steel wall thickness is probably 16 gauge or 1.2 mm thick
