ok, I made up my mind to finaly install my nos kit that I have had for like 6 months.

Got some questions. 1) how hard is it. 2) where is the best place for the injector to be placed 3) when should I mount the selanoid (sp?) 4) how hard is it to hook into the horn button.

If you can help me out, it would be great.

Thanks,
Josh

I did this a few years back on my old gsxr1100 and dont recall it being *that* difficult but its been a few years. No clue where to hook it in on the busa

Well You would want to install the solenoid as close to the air box as possible, flip your tank up and try it in a few places away from the heat, and You could also install a T and have 2 nozzles in the ram air tube part of the airbox..2 nozzles offer better and more even flow..But if you want to use one nozzle,a popular place is were the gold valve is/was for the airbox flapper valve..right in the center of the airbox..

Its pretty easy to install, but take you time and it will come out great..I have it hooked to My starter button because I use My horn button for My air shifter..the horn button switches ground,Schnitz sells a small harness that includes the toggle switch You will need..

Hope this helps..Let Me know if you have any more??..

Good luck..You can Do it!!!

i remember my brother hooking up his, i think his is a dry system so he hooked up the injector in one of the ram air ducts. so i guess it depends if its a wet or dry nos.

It is very easy, if you can follow a schematic you can do it. I put the nozzle in where the flapper valve was. Instead of having it wired into the horn or starter I put a full throttle switch on it. After you arm it you don't want it on unless you are in full throttle anyways. On schnitz website they have some schematics on how to wire it up.

Hey Jester, could you take pics as you install it? I would love to have some pics in a "walkthrought" type thing... I might be interested in getting nos, but I'm clueless about it... Is installing NOS really something that the average joe can do with regular tools? no need to tune the bike or anything?
I would like the pics so that I get an idea of what I would have to take apart in order to do the install...
Thanks
