1000 wheels

How hard is it and what all is needed to change my wheels out to 1000 wheels? Does anyone have any that they would be willing to trade for some stock busa wheels?

Do you have a Gen I or Gen II? Which 1000 wheels? If you are speaking about the Gen I, The 01-04 GSXR1000 wheels are pretty easy. The lighter weight 05-08 GSXR1000 wheels require different spacers AND you will need to use the 05-08 rotors on the front wheel. I believe the rear rotor can be swapped over from the Gen I. I know a guy that makes the spacers for this swap onto a Gen I. I think he charges $50-75 for the set(front and rear).

Mine is a Gen1. I was trying to shave a little weight, but I think this would be too expensive. Any other weight shaving ideas (other than me going on a diet)?
