What do the Gen 1 2001 to 2007 built tensioner version look like?

Way off topic but my cases are split waiting on parts got a little money rolling on the Forum dancing threads and now the question is... $1,000 what is the best motor upgrade I can do?

Small air box mod + pair elim.
Air shifter on the way
Nitrous already planned soon

What about after double intake cam swap? Do I just throw in the new manual chain tensioner in after setting time?

∆ if I block off the automatic tensioner oil line would it not reduce cam chain oil flow and reduce supply to the adjuster and cam gears?

Thinking.. what if I.....

Drilled out the old tensioner "housing" to get rid of the spring loaded ratchet inside it

I could then install the manual tensioner hardware within the automatic's "housing".

- Retains oil flow to tensioner, and secondary oil supply to cam gears, and chain
- Still manually adjustable
- Pretty fn MaxGyver
