I know, this is bad to ask!

But if you answer the "thieves" questions, you can answer your own much more clearly and pre(con)cise....

1. With the RoadLok on... is is true that NOBODY could ever drive off with the bike even if he/she had the key to the bike? I mean the KEY to the BIKE and not the key to the RoadLok. So... If A took my bike keys and did not have the key to my RoadLok, would A be able to ride my bike?

I hope NOT!!! My bike starter key should be diff than my RoadLok key....

Still.........

I just want to know MORE about the RoadLok! Yeah! I'm thinking about buying one because I'm moving back to Los Angeles... and that's not a safe town for high-end bikes or cars...... I want protection!!!!

PS: I love you, Tammy! LOL! hahahahaha!!! You're doing a darn golly good gee wizz ole job, there!!!!!

PaNDeM1C/Charlie

Ok... so I guess it's pretty much out of the question to ask/know how a thief can/does steal sh1t!

Jeezuz.....

doesnt look like you could unless you had the tools to first unbolt the rear caliper, then take the rear tire off, then unbolt the rotor from the tire, then reinstall the rear tire with the stock brake hanger and new rotor, conncet the brakes and ride off

Well Charlie - I am flattered! *Thanks for the nice things you said. * *

In regards to your question -- it seems you answered it yourself. *No one is getting past that ABBLOY lock. *And, if that thief somehow got your ignition keys, with that LoK pin engaged in the RoadLoK, when he tried to take off, your bike would stall. *The wheel is LoK'd! *No movement. *No Motion. *No damage to your bike. *

Charlie, I agree, you need one. *Give me a call. *I'll hook you up with free shipping and get you a cool "Remove Before Flight" yellow lanyard to hang from the LoK pin. *I'll do the same for ALL board members.

Get a few guys, pick it up and throw it in the back of a van....... They will solve the lock problem later.

This is what was done to my 93 GSXR 600 , years ago ! Bastids ! Except , it was thrown in the back of a pickup and when they were spotted by someone they took off with the tailgate down and eventually the bike slid out and into a ditch !

Sorry to hear about your ride getting treated like that, War! *OUCH! *Fargin' Bastages!

Yep, can't do much about the "big guys tossing it in a truck" scenario (unless you have big ugly guard dogs) - but with that rear wheel totally locked down. . . there will be NO easy rolling for them if they tried. *No rolling it up a ramp, etc. *So they'd have to be strong guys to deadlift that rear end. *The RoadLoK will help stop them from riding off with it though - and deter any thief who knows what it can do. *

I agree with Psychobusa...if someone('s) wants your bike bad enough, once they find out it wont roll, they'll hop on a phone, call in the cavalry to lift the bike (or another way with a locked tires looks less suspicious is to use a small wheel dolley, similar to ones used in a body shop to roll cars around on...dont ask me how I know) and then once "home" unbolt caliper bracket, tire etc.....Cost of a new rotor $120, sale of a hot bike a few thousand, price for parts from a stripped used to be nice bike, more than a few thousand as most is untraceable...There is always a way, just takes time and the ingenuity to override the control features.

Come up here to the southside of Chicago and your bike won't being sitting around long. These guys are good. Hell, they would probably steal your roadlock. If you have a roadlock on, bike chained to a wall, alarm, and inside a guarded parking garage....it might buy you an extra 5 minutes of time to catch them taking it.
