| I feel the need to make a couple of comments regarding our product and a recent comment on this forum and a comment on another motorcycle forum. Most of us are intelligent enough to realize that motorcycle locking devices are simply "theft deterrents". Nothing more, nothing less. If someone wants your bike bad enough, chances are they will get it. Anything that you--as the owner--do to hopefully thwart the theft of your bike is a good thing. Some companies sell and promote alarm systems while others are into the recovery field once the bike has been stolen. Our company works on the premise that if the bike can't roll when it's locked it will do two things: First, it prevents roll away and or ride away type thefts; second, it removes rider error should he forget to unlock it. The RoadLoK can't damage your bike! Why did we do it this way? Simply stated, we didn't want our locking system, or any part of it, to be dependant on someone else's products or services (ie: flashlight battery companies or tracking devices). That is not to say that they are bad--I'm just pointing out the differences. A comment was posted on another forum a few months ago regarding the theft of a bike. One of the comments from a member stated that a friend of his had his bike stolen while it was "RoadLoK'd". I called him on it because we want to talk to anyone whose bike was stolen while locked with our product. He immediately recanted and said "sorry, I was mistaken - it wasn't a RoadLoK". We know our customers, and we know who uses our products--random, unfounded defamation sticks out like a sore thumb in contrast to our sterling reputation, and these mudslingers are quickly exposed. I asked on this forum recently for a member to contact me through a PM with his contact information so we could discuss a comment he made regarding his reported theft of his 'Busa with a RoadLoK. Without going into a lot of detail, I will say that I am very suspicious of the comments and also the fact that the poster has failed to contact me. When someone knocks our products or company, they WILL get my attention! To conclude I will say this: If you don't like a certain product or company that is fine. To flame a company or product because of 'personal preference or affiliation' is incredibly immature. Our company strives for 100% customer satisfaction. We have never once had a complaint about our products and how well they work. I believe that most all members of this forum can vouch for our reputation, customer service and the RoadLoK. Just ask members here what they think about it! ______________________________________ |

Dayrl, there is not a product on the market that will keep a thief from stealing a bike if they want it bad enough. Most of people know this and address security in layers to make it more difficult to jack a bike. I will do my best to make mine the harder target in the hopes that the thief will pick something "easier" if you will. I have had a disc lock with the lanyard and all that, tossed it after I got my Roadlok. I love it and depend on it. This also goes to say that I also use my 2 way paging alarm as well, maybe it will slow them down long enough that I can get to the bike after I am notified that the bike has been touched. Thank you for this product and if possible, every bike I own will have a Roadlok on it. See pic!

Couldn't agree more. I also use a 2-way paging system in addition to the RoadLok. The Roadlok is the first thing most people notice when looking at my bike. That yellow lanyard has alot to do with that. Regarding the concerns I've heard about weight, well, I don't race so I don't worry. My old bike had a disc lock on it and they conveniently had it whacked off with an angle grinder driven by a transformer in a van. Took them no time to cut it off. Fortunately they were interrupted before they could get away with the bike. With Roadlok, my bike is much less likely to get stolen and that's more than worth it's cost to me. ______________________________________
