depends on the purpose ... textiles breathe the best so does perforated leather but they go down on protection leather is by far the best protection... alot of the companies make a good product but some are lighter than others some offer more protection ... so its all in what your looking to do

Plus protection. Textiles.. really don't wear well under a crash.. road rash is almost guaranteed

45 MPH crash with textile. No road rash. Having your jacket attached to your pant so the jacket does not lift up is key. Maybe I was the lucky one!

That is so true. But if you die from heat exhaustiuon in the Florida sun and humidity it is not going to matter! Perf leather just does not cut it, way to hot.

I have a Icon Arch Mesh and I like it alot. I has leather and CE pads in the impact areas. The mesh is like a strong fishing line mesh. It has 3 connectors to you pants also, to connect ot the belt loops Like it so much I just bought another on in black.
The are going on closeout for $175 in the usual places you buy bike stuff on the internet.

+1 on that. There is no way you are gonna survive a summer down here with a leather jacket. I try to wear mine even if I know I'm gonna sweat a lot. But, it gets to a point were is just too hot. I keep a mesh and leather in my closet.

It fits great Newman, I was surprised at how well it did based on the cost. I got it new off Ebay from a store that was closing for around $150 if I am remembering right. I have had it for quite a while now and could not be happier with it.
