Oh, I see... lol! Yup, I still got one year to go!

By the way, Liltroy, are you serious? Why would they make something that protects troops so cheap?

some info for ya.....everything in the US military is made by the cheapest bidder...including vehicles, weapons, clothing, etc. I always heard that and after being a track mechanic and seeing all the loose bolts and slopped together wiring, power units going out after only a few thousand miles and so forth, i finally figured out it wasnt just a joke. if you're planning on going in, and u think uncle sams gonna give you the best of everything...you're in for a big surprise! Case in point, the thermals that referred to in another thread about winter riding gear...these were isued to me years ago in basic training and according to the tag, they were made by "knox county association for retarded citizens". hows that for cheapest bidder? if u dont believe me, i'll be more than happy to take a picture of the tag.

It's ok, I believe you. It is just a little bit sad that they would do such a thing.

they are also the highest % of deaths among sport bike motorcyclist. so much so that the military has a 2nd MSF type call JUST for military sportbike riders.

more soldiers die on bikes then on the ft lines.

Just because you go into combat and fight for your country doesnt mean you cant be stupid in other things....BEEN THERE DONE THAT..I was one of them once..a young and VERY stupid Marine. Wised up after a while. its part of it, its a phase in the military, and in life, same with soldiers, airmen, you name it....just like a college kid...same thing....

More deaths come from noncombat injuries in service members SUCH AS motorcycles specifically sportbikes and after research been proved 75% of them could of been avoided.

I see Young service members evryday..(HELLO BUDDY!!!! Your bike has the base sticker WIDE OPEN for evryone to see, you got your boots on with jeans, your hair cut, the tan line from your cover..etc etc) trying to stunt, wrecklesly speeding and hot doggin across the freeway, specially here near Camp Pen...I commute on my bikes so i really see it... its sad but true...go to the dealer near a base, ask them how many bikes have returned just after weeks from bought...totalled or for repairs from service members who are 1 inexperienced or 2 just got back from deploy big money and no one to help them make a wise decision...just a saleman who says..yeah its 1300 you look good in it! The resale lot is full of them.

Its inmaturity and lack of a guiding hand. Sad but thats whats gotten worst in the service....the lack of care of your comrads outside of battlefield, be a MENTOR...

Yes, they can be stupid.
