Quality over the cuff gloves?

I currently have leather gloves that I tuck into the cuff of my jacket. When it gets colder, the wind slips between and the chill goes right up my arm. Is there a quality over the cuff glove that I can cinch down to keep wind out and heat in?

A variety of manufacturers make over-the-cuff (or 'gauntlet' style) gloves.

I am a fan of Alpinestars, but there are many brands available. In the past, I've also used Icons, and I have a pair of Cortech winter gloves (which are a lot like snowmobile gloves).

I'd recommend a trip to your local favorite shop to try some on, and be sure to shop around...

Interestingly enough, also, some jacket and/or suit builders don't narrow the sleeve down enough at the cuff, making the gauntlet tough to get over. So, a look at the jackets might be of value, as well.

Tour Master make a good cold weather glove that is decent. I would go with Held gloves if money is not an issue.

Try not to strap the gauntlet down too tight and cut off circulation to the hand. You'll know you've done it when your fingers go numb. I've just started not fastening the velcro on mine so they aren't too tight. The strap across the top of the wrist should keep them from flying off in case of unplanned get-off.

FieldSheer has been around a long time and make some quality stuff also..they have under layer stuff drawstring/strap gloves for all climates...

Just purchased Wifey a pair of "Shift" gloves not too many choices with extra small hands. Really impressed with the quality, much, much, better than my Frank Thomas.

I currently have that glove, best winter glove I've owned. Do a search on eBay for "Tourmaster Polartex"... They run alil over $50.00 on there, I spent $125.00 at a store for mine...
