I always wear my leathers. Hey dad you need a new avatar image, the one you got shows you on the bike without your leathers!

No excuse, but the story on that one is...... I went to the shop 60 miles from home to shop and brought the '08 home, what can I say, but no excuses.

Fit is also more important than one might think...

I high-sided on my 01 busa a couple years ago with a Teknic Spyder textile (mesh) jacket, full gauntlet gloves, full face Aria and jeans (I know).

I bought the jacket a little big so it would be more "comfortable" - enough to get a sweatshirt under since it had an outer shell that makes it all-year gear. After my wreck, and a broken collar bone, I realized that the shoulder armor had "rolled" because the jacket was too big. It basically shifted when I hit the pavement exposing my shoulder to the blacktop.

Other than the broken clavical, I got away lucky...just remember that even the best gear will do nothing if it doesn't fit properly. Overall the jacket was shredded, but the armor stayed in place - meaning than none of the armor ejected.

im definitely in a 'gear the F up' mode becuase iv been pushing myself to ride a little harder. Just bought this armor. i know its for dirt bikes...but its better than how i use to roll....a hoody, a book bag, some jeans and chuck taylors. Now its a leather jacket, the armor, still just jeans but i wear timberland boots. im lookin to invest in some knee/leg pads. leg armor if you will.

oh and i started pullin small power wheelies out of first. body armor decapitates alot of the fear aspect. its like creatine for my nerves.
