I DO NOT want to start another "political" back and forth thread...too tired for that. With that said, I am BORED! I was so excited to watch the first presidential debate tonight. What a LETDOWN it has been!

These guys are both crusty old FARTS that are very stuck on themselves! I knew that McCain was an older guy, but I was under the impression Obama was young!

So far neither one of them are saying much of anything that isn't useless! I am getting a kick out of the way that Obama pronounces Pakistan. Hee hee hee!

So....do y'all see any humor in this??

Wonder why John never looks at Obama while talking? Even when the narrarator said address him directly he didn't. I think this debate goes to Johnny!

The definition of a liberal is some one that is so open minded that half their brain has fallen out!

I'm not bashing...honestly!

And there's your Fox news sound byte for tomorrow morning.

I have no doubt that the right will immediately demonize him as an "elitist" for clearly enunciating the correct Arabic pronunciation. After the last eight years you'd think we'd be desperate for a president who can read.

I'm sure he'll be called a "secret Muslim" just because he knows the difference between an I and an A.

The last eight years, come on, clinton wasn't exactly a rocket scientist.

"Not a rocket scientist" and "certifiable moron" are two very different things.

Well I wasn't going to get that harsh but if you really think Bill was a "certifiable moron" I'm not one to disagree.

He was also the one that instructed the banks to ease their lending restrictions about 15 years ago, Hmmm, that worked out well, here we are 15 years later at the brink of meltdown because of it.

 OMG now it`s little Bill fault....

I`d like to see some prove of that statement.

Let's say it was slick willy's fault. Who's been a US Senator the whole time since????:mad2:

No McBush...we've had enough already! Go :usa:

do some research on the "community reinvestment act" the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), the federal law that requires banks to make investments in low- and moderate- income communities

Enacted by congress in 77 (Carter Admin), it was strengthened in 95 by the clinton admin. Bush tried to readress it in 2003 and make changed to it but his proposal failed. It doesn't take anything more than common sense to see this if one will just open their eyes and do some research on it with an open mind.

There are several more links I was wanting to add but for some reason I can't cut and paste them. do a search under key words "community reinvestment act" and look at the sites from the federal reserve.

United Liberty Blog Archive Can We Finally Place The Blame Where It Actually Lies?

Even Hillary fought to keep it unchanged, see links

I have to admit it was very lack-luster. I was not overly moved in any direction, and yes they both danced around the Economy.

McCain needs to come with something better than Experience & POW stories, and Obama has to get tough on the old dude, bottom line.

I am still Pr-Obama, but he needs to realize that one of the biggest knocks on Democrats through the years has been "weakness". Lord knows John Kerry was about as hard as a wet noodle!!

This must be why they have several debates, cause this first one was almost like some peoples first sexual experience, a lot of huffing, puffing, maybe even a little sweating, but overall not much of a show!!

What AMAZIES me is that after TWO YEARS of this, there are some people who STILL don't know who they support:banghead:

Geezzzzzzzz, talk :sulk::huh2: about slow thinkers :eh:

You fail logical subtlety.
Remember the SAT?

Not a rocket scientist : Bill Clinton ::
(A) squirrel : tree
(B) shark : insect
(C) stocks : bonds
(D) flash : lighting
(E) certifiable moron : president w(aterhead)

Always guess (E) if you don't know the answer.

Time...pencils down, do not do any more work on that section.

Best line of the night goes to Southside Playa for sure.

Brilliant! I look forward to stealing that one.

+100 If Bill hadn't made it a law that banks HAD to lend money to people they KNEW couldn't pay it back, we wouldn't be on the brink of a depression 10 times worse than the original one. I didn't get to watch any news yesterday, have they passed that bill yet or not? Cause we're in some serious trouble here. Damn the democrats and their crappy amendments to perfectly good bills. I just don't understand why so many people want to support a socialist that's that close to a comunist. . . (insert OBAMA here)
