found this monstrosity today at work so I brought it home to hear the kids scream. Once they quieted down we did a little research and learned all about this thing....first time I've ever seen one in the wild.

no idea what it is but you can keep those freaky type bugs down south with you

luckily most of the nasty looking bugs like that dont prefer to live above the mason-dixon line

All good guesses but no winner yet! Yeah, the South has some bugs I never want to see again. Can't wait to get back to Colorado where you only have to worry about the Bears and Mountain Lions.

I don't do bugs...except lady bugs, mantises and spiders. I have been know to scream like a little girl.

I had one of those crawling around the other day. I used to find Rhino Beetles, but it has been a while since I have seen one.

We have bugs like this in the South to scare away Northerners and Californians :-)

Believe it or not, they are harmless.

Ugh! That bug is nasty looking! I get freaked out by pretty much all bugs (if a lady bug crawls on me, you can bet I am screaming like a little girl!!).
