Its amazing that we even allow people to be able to do something so ridiculous. Judge: And did you ever consider the fact that YOU CHOSE to live below sea level?
I would like to ask these people who are moving back there again if they would ever choose to live on the edge of a volcano. Odds are great that at certain times, that would be a very bad place to live. As with choosing to live below sea level and rely on the government to build structures to hold back water from where it should be anyways, just so you can live in a certain spot. Unbelievable.

Notice.. that is from NEW ORLEANS... where all it did was FLOOD...
Mississippi lost everything along the 32 miles of coastline. It irks me to no end that New Orleans (The CHOCOLATE CITY.... with NUTS) got all of the attention while all of us Mississippians were struggling to pick the remains of our lives and carry on. We never ASKED for help, it showed up. Neighbors helped neighbors.
My husband and I didn't have the right KIND of wind insurance, so we replaced our roof out of our own pocket.. with the help of friends and complete strangers. Then we returned the favor.
To tell you the truth, the ppl in New Orleans that flooded are better off NOW than they were before the storm. They got new lives Somewhere else, out of the projects, given jobs (I don't know if they still have them though), new houses. While we sit here 2.5 years later still looking at debris they left behind and trying to rebuild our beautiful home.

A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.
B Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family
gets $2,066,012.

I think they should NOT GIVE ANYONE A DIME! These people chose to live there, and they enjoyed it while it was flourishing. You never heard anything about any of the levee's or anything. Now after mother nature steps in and wipes out the black magic, and voodoo stricken place, everyone wants to complain about it. Our government didn't cause the levee's to break...how long were they there with no problems?? Screw 'em!! Don't give them shid! WE have already given them housing, jobs, food, water, and helped them rebuild and start over...that should be enough!

I always thought that's what insurance was for. Don't blame us for making bad decisions on not having enough insurance, or the right kind of insurance. You knew the risk when you moved there.
