camera guru's....a question

Found this on a local for sale website. Its 85 bucks,which I dont have,but a boy can dream.

Its an adaptor for my Rebel XTi. Has an extra lith-ion battery,and also a little converter for using AA batteries,which all sounds cool.

It also has an' extra shutter button...

just wondering what its use might be,other than the obvious.

Those are great additions to the standard slr body. They allow you to take portrait style shots a lot easier by giving you a vertical grip and shutter release not to mention significantly more battery charging interval.

Plus I have one on my Nikon, if you take a lot of pics not having to change batteries is nice. It makes the grip bigger on my camera and takeing pics from different angles is easier....
