Video editing help

Video experts please help me out here:

Looking for a video editor that does all of the following:

* Video editing (cut, splice, fade, freeze etc.)
* Compression (DivX for web)
* DVD Writing and Menu creation
* Audio editing


Dont want to spend too much money...

Please help asap!

Dont know if you are looking for a free application or looking to buy one but I'll assume the free ones, like the one that is usually bundled on PCs (Movie Maker etc.), are not gonna cut it - because they wont...

Dazzle / Pinnacle are in my opinion the best out there.
You can buy simple, user friendly authoring / editing applications at places like Circuit City, Best Buy or any other big box electronics store for around a buck fifty. With these you can actually pull video from a cable TV feed, satellite feed, video camcorder, VCR, DVD anything that has an RCA or S- Video output source right into your puter, edit it, change it or do anything you want with it. You can manipulate vids you get online or vids someone else authored. Pretty fun stuff but beware that it can be addictive!

I have an old Dazzle Digital Video Creator 150 setup that is awesome! It even pulls video from the new encoded DVDs - *evil smirk*...

If I'm on the puter I am either jacking around with some video project or surfing Hayabusa.org!!!
